A note on where Instapage is headed
Instapage was acquired by airSlate (a document workflow company: pdfFiller, SignNow, US Legal Forms) in October 2023. Founder Tyson Quick left and started a separate AI company. Since the acquisition, Instapage added email (send-only, no automation), a website builder (early stage), and Collections. The core landing page builder hasn't changed substantially in two years. G2 users report “hardly any improvements” since 2024.
Leadpages rebuilt the entire product from scratch. New engine, new architecture, CRO in the foundation. Not bolted on after an acquisition. Not expanded into adjacencies. Built to do one thing: make your pages convert.

The lock-in problem:
Instapage support confirms: pages cannot be exported in HTML. The only export is a proprietary .instapage file. Third-party services charge to manually convert pages for people trying to leave. Your pages are not portable.
